Welcome to the friends of HOREMI!<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A tin roof over their heads, a warm meal a day, regular school atten\u00addance: For  nearly all of the many orphans in Uganda, this \u201cluxury\u201d is unat\u00adtain\u00adable. More than eight years ago, a woman in the east of the country said to herself, \u201cThis can\u2019t be.\u201d With not much more than her two hands, she started an initia\u00adtive that today provides for around 30 orphans under the name HOREMI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOREMI: Help, hope and perspective<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

HOREMI (Hope and Rescue Missions Inter\u00adna\u00adtional) is a small, private aid orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion in eastern Uganda. It was founded in 2015 by teacher Naume Naigaga and her adopted son Kenneth and now provides 30 orphans and street chil\u00addren with the basics of life: shelter, food, drink, clothing and schooling. You can find insights into life at HOREMI and news here in the blog.
At the begin\u00adning of 2024, HOREMI also opened its own school to provide poor chil\u00addren with a good educa\u00adtion. HOREMI could not do this work without your dona\u00adtions.
Uganda is one of the poorest coun\u00adtries in the world. There is no state welfare in the western sense. But there is us, the \u201cFriends of HOREMI\u201d (see below).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

HOREM\u2019s school needs more space. As usual, the Ugandan-prag\u00ad\u00admatic building project begins with a load of bricks in the court\u00adyard \u2026<\/p>\n<\/span>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/header>\n\n\t<\/article>\n<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Friends of HOREMI: Teamwork makes the dream work!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We, the \u201cFriends of HOREMI e.V.\u201d are a handful of spon\u00adsors, some of whom have been supporting HOREMI for years (from around 2016). In mid-2023, we decided to found a non-profit asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion to better promote the work of the small orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion HOREMI. And to find many more friends for Yobu, Bumali and all the other HOREMI kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is to increase and stabi\u00adlize the dona\u00adtions for the orphanage and the start-up aid for the school in order to give HOREMI more plan\u00adning secu\u00adrity. This is the only way the orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion has a chance of providing sustain\u00adable help and building up its own resources, for example through its own agri\u00adcul\u00adture. And the help is getting through: Every euro notice\u00adably improves the diffi\u00adcult living situ\u00ada\u00adtion on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
