Not all of them are serious and pursue truly char\u00adi\u00adtable purposes. Since 2015 HOREMI is regis\u00adtered with the local author\u00adi\u00adties as a char\u00adi\u00adtable \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ngobureau.go.ug\/en\/services\/community-based-organisations\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ngobureau.go.ug\/en\/services\/community-based-organisations\" target=\"_blank\">Commu\u00adnity Based Orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion<\/a>, CBO\u201d (Certifi\u00adcate of Regis\u00adtra\u00adtion) and recog\u00adnized as a non-profit orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion (Permit Of Oper\u00ada\u00adtion).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike nation\u00adwide \u201cNGOs\u201d, \u201cCBOs\u201d are smaller orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions that operate at the district level and below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CBOs like HOREMI are regis\u00adtered by the district\u2019s NGO Moni\u00adtoring Committee. Regis\u00adtra\u00adtion requires the submis\u00adsion of bylaws, a project plan including budget, and a recom\u00admen\u00adda\u00adtion from the rele\u00advant NGO Moni\u00adtoring Committee at the sub-county level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOREMI duly renewed and submitted the regis\u00adtra\u00adtion on October 31, 2023. The regis\u00adtra\u00adtion is valid for one year.
