A signif\u00adi\u00adcant cost factor for the HOREMI Junior School: the salaries of the teaching staff. This also includes board and lodging. Due to a lack of rooms of its own, HOREMI previ\u00adously had to look for and rent accom\u00admo\u00adda\u00adtion for the teachers in the surrounding area. This is now a thing of the past, at least for six of them: with the help of dona\u00adtions, HOREMI was able to build a resi\u00adden\u00adtial building for them, complete with its own toilet block. And as usual, every\u00adthing was built in no time at all \u2014 inter\u00adrupted only by rainy days \u2014 as soon as the funds were avail\u00adable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new teachers\u2019 house and latrine (in the fore\u00adground) have been completed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The generous dona\u00adtions from rela\u00adtives, friends, former pupils and colleagues of a deceased, much-loved teacher from Stuttgart-Botnang played a key role in this. On the occa\u00adsion of his funeral, he had asked for dona\u00adtions for HOREMI so that Kenneth and Naume could build a house for their teachers. Over 3000 euros were collected! He, his wife and everyone who responded to the appeal there\u00adfore deserve special thanks from HOREMI and us. The new teacher\u2019s house will not only save travel time for the teachers and costs for HOREMI, but will also make life easier for everyone involved in running the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOREMI Junior School is now ready to start its second year of exis\u00adtence on January 27. With new moti\u00adva\u00adtion to continue offering only the best lessons and two more teachers. This is because the number of students has grown signif\u00adi\u00adcantly: from 82 chil\u00addren at the end of 2024 to 141 kids in 2025 to date. The good repu\u00adta\u00adtion that HOREMI has built up in a very short space of time has certainly contributed signif\u00adi\u00adcantly to this. Another reason: from this year onwards, the offer extends not only to the third, but also to the fourth primary school class. Good luck, HOREMI!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
