Washing, cleaning, cooking, drinking: until now, the water to supply the orphanage and the elementary school, which opened at the beginning of 2024, had to be laboriously brought in using jerry cans. This extremely strenuous and time-consuming lugging is now a thing of the past. In the middle of the courtyard and therefore easily accessible for everyone, a mechanical hand pump delivers drinking water in sufficient quantity and good quality. And it’s not just the HOREMI team that is happy about this progress: in the spirit of good neighborliness, people from the surrounding community can also get fresh water at any time.
