The HOREMI Junior School has rapidly built a house for its teachers: another important step forward!
A significant cost factor for the HOREMI Junior School: the salaries of the teaching staff. This also includes board and lodging. Due to a lack of rooms of its own, HOREMI previously had to look for and rent accommodation for the teachers in the surrounding area. This is now a thing of the past, at least for six of them: with the help of donations, HOREMI was able to build a residential building for them, complete with its own toilet block. And as usual, everything was built in no time at all — interrupted only by rainy days — as soon as the funds were available.

The generous donations from relatives, friends, former pupils and colleagues of a deceased, much-loved teacher from Stuttgart-Botnang played a key role in this. On the occasion of his funeral, he had asked for donations for HOREMI so that Kenneth and Naume could build a house for their teachers. Over 3000 euros were collected! He, his wife and everyone who responded to the appeal therefore deserve special thanks from HOREMI and us. The new teacher’s house will not only save travel time for the teachers and costs for HOREMI, but will also make life easier for everyone involved in running the school.

HOREMI Junior School is now ready to start its second year of existence on January 27. With new motivation to continue offering only the best lessons and two more teachers. This is because the number of students has grown significantly: from 82 children at the end of 2024 to 141 kids in 2025 to date. The good reputation that HOREMI has built up in a very short space of time has certainly contributed significantly to this. Another reason: from this year onwards, the offer extends not only to the third, but also to the fourth primary school class. Good luck, HOREMI!

Please help now so that HOREMI can ensure the basic care of their protégés. Your donation helps, thank you!
